Your motto "Just Think" is exactly what Charlie incited to those that walked up to the mic. As someone who did not really see things the way he did, I still very much enjoyed watching him challenge the why of their thoughts. I was so impressed and I came to really his respect his views and beliefs.... because they were his. Some of those students really had no clue why they believed what they believed. We need more of this, more dialogue, more patience, more listening. Great read , and love the title.
Thank you. I also disagreed with some of his positions, and I agree with everything you said here -- and I think it's exactly the kind of reaction he would have hoped for.
your comment just proves my points. Starting from “the dead guy,” to “he has (oops…had)” to the quip on baseball, it oozes spite and callousness.
Charlie Kirk may have hated the word empathy, but he showed plenty of it on plenty of occasions – empathy implies understanding, not agreeing and validating;
‘Affirming care’, pushed for profit and political agendas, has ruined many lives already. If you think empathy, kindness and respect are on the side of those who push kids at a young age into mind- and body-altering drugs and surgeries, you are sadly mistaken;
I don’t agree with all of Charlie Kirk’s positions, but I do not need to agree with everything he said or believed in to respect and admire who he was and what he did. But it’s much easier to slap one simple dismissive label on him and be done.
You conclude that “the world is a better, safer place without him.” Again, nothing could better prove my points. But by all means, keep laughing.

JP,

JP, once you say someone deserves to die for expressing views you disagree with, I think you've said enough. I'm done here.
I very plainly say “he should not have been killed.”
